Rockwood Backcountry Repair Center, part of Rockwood Aviation at Rockwood Municipal Airport (RKW), is hiring a certified Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic. 

This is a hands-on maintenance role with duties and assignments including inspection, troubleshooting and repair of general aviation aircraft, with particular emphasis on backcountry, tailwheel, ‘tube and fabric’ and experimental airplanes. You’ll work directly with customers and on their aircraft in a growing repair station — with real individual ownership of the work but without many of the constraints that can come from larger aviation shop ‘maintenance-department bureaucracy’.

Rockwood Backcountry Repair Center, part of Rockwood Aviation at Rockwood Municipal Airport (RKW), is hiring an entry-level Aircraft Maintenance Assistant. No aviation experience is required — this role is designed to build a career in aircraft maintenance. 

You’ll work alongside our A&P mechanics, learning the trade hands-on, with room to grow into specialty shop work (fabric covering, welding/fabrication) or toward your own A&P certificate as the shop expands.
